Launch your own SMM business with a panel: a week-one plan

PanelHubs Team · · 4 min read

You can launch an SMM panel in a week. Not a perfect one, but a real one: your own brand, working payments, services from a reliable provider and your first few customers. The rest you improve as you go.

This plan breaks the first week into small, clear steps. It assumes you are starting part-time, with a modest budget, and that you want to do it properly rather than quickly. Adjust the days to fit your schedule.

Day 1: choose your niche and your customer

Before you pick colours or services, decide who you are serving. A panel for everyone usually ends up as a panel for no one. Some examples of focused starting points:

  • Musicians and promoters in Lagos who need views and streams around releases.
  • Small online shops in Nairobi selling on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Resellers in Accra who already sell manually on WhatsApp and want automation.
  • French-speaking creators across West Africa, served in their own language.

Write one sentence: I help [who] with [what] and they pay with [how]. That sentence will guide your service list, your prices and your payment methods.

Day 2: set up your brand and your panel

Pick a short, easy name. Check that the domain and social media handles are free. If you need help, see our guide on choosing a domain name.

Then create your panel. On PanelHubs, you sign up and choose a plan based on your expected order volume. There is no free trial: the first month is invoiced when your panel is created. Plans start at $15 a month for up to 1,000 orders, which is plenty for a first week. You get a free yourname.panelhubs.online address right away, and you can connect your own domain whenever it is ready. HTTPS is issued automatically.

Spend the rest of the day on looks. Pick a theme from the gallery, then use the visual editor to set your logo, colours and fonts. Preview on a phone as well as a computer, since most of your customers will probably order from their phones.

Day 3: connect providers and build your service list

Your services come from providers that use the standard SMM API v2. Add your main provider's API URL and key, then import services in bulk with their categories, descriptions and your markup.

Do not import everything. Start with a focused list for your niche, perhaps 30 to 80 services, and make each description clear: start time, speed, refill period and any limits. Set a backup provider for your most important services so one provider's bad day does not stop your orders.

Then test. Place a few small real orders yourself and watch how they behave. Turn on price syncing so your prices follow provider changes, and keep an eye on low balance alerts.

Day 4: set up payments

Your customers need to pay in ways they already use. PanelHubs supports 80+ gateways, and money goes straight to your own accounts. Choose by market:

  • Nigeria: Paystack, Flutterwave, Korapay, Monnify, Squad or OPay.
  • Kenya and East Africa: M-Pesa, Pesapal, AzamPay or pawaPay.
  • Ghana and mobile money markets: MTN MoMo, Flutterwave or Paystack.
  • Francophone West Africa: CinetPay, FedaPay or PayDunya.
  • International: Stripe, PayPal, or crypto gateways such as Cryptomus or NOWPayments.

Set minimum and maximum amounts and decide whether to add fees or bonuses per method. Make one small test payment on each method you enable before you invite anyone.

Day 5: write the pages that build trust

New visitors want to know who you are and what happens if something goes wrong. Write:

  • A short FAQ covering payments, refills, cancellations and support hours.
  • Clear terms that tell customers to follow each social platform's rules and explain what your services are and are not. Never describe engagement as coming from real people if it does not.
  • One or two blog posts aimed at your niche.

Switch on a support channel too: a live chat widget, a WhatsApp or Telegram button, or both. Tickets are built in.

Day 6: prepare your growth tools

Before you announce anything, set up the tools that help new customers try you:

  • A small welcome bonus for new sign-ups.
  • An affiliate program with a commission rate you can afford.
  • A promo code for your launch announcement.

Keep the amounts modest. You want people to place a first order, not to drain your margin.

Day 7: find your first customers

Start with people who already know you. Tell your WhatsApp contacts, post in Telegram and Facebook groups where it is allowed, and message small businesses and creators who match your niche. If you were reselling by hand, invite your existing buyers first and show them how ordering on the panel works.

Treat your first ten customers well. Answer quickly, fix problems openly and ask what they would change. Their feedback, and their word of mouth, matter more than any ad in week one.

After week one

Once you are live, the work becomes routine: watch failed orders, keep provider balances topped up, check reports to see which services earn money, and add services your customers ask for. Growth is rarely instant, and there is no guaranteed income, but steady improvement adds up.

Getting started

The hardest part is usually the first step. If you are ready to follow this plan, create your panel on PanelHubs and start on day one today.
