5 ways to attract new customers to your SMM panel

PanelHubs Team · · 5 min read

New customers come to an SMM panel for one of two reasons: someone they trust sent them, or they found you while looking for an answer. The five methods below cover both. None of them is a trick. Each one works because it builds trust before you ask anyone to add funds.

You don't need to do all five at once. Pick the two that fit your market and your time, do them well for a couple of months, then add another.

1. Show honest social proof

People are careful before they send money to a website they have never used. Social proof answers the silent question: has anyone else done this and been happy?

  • Ask happy customers for a short review and permission to share it. A one-line message from a real reseller in Kampala is worth more than a paragraph of your own claims.
  • Share order screenshots carefully, with names and links hidden unless the customer agrees.
  • Show you are active. A service updates page, a recent blog post and quick replies on your support channels all tell visitors that someone is running the business.

Never invent reviews or numbers. Fake proof is easy to spot, and once a customer catches one lie, they stop believing everything else. Real, modest proof is better than impressive fake proof.

2. Be useful in local communities

A lot of buying in this market happens in WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels and Facebook groups. Creators in Lagos, small businesses in Nairobi and music promoters in Johannesburg gather in these spaces to share tips. That is where many of your future customers already are.

The rule is simple: give before you sell. Answer questions. Share a short tip on posting times or video quality. Help someone who is stuck. When people see you know your subject, they will ask what you do.

  • Read and follow each group's rules. Many ban advertising, and spamming gets you removed and remembered.
  • Run your own WhatsApp channel or Telegram channel with useful updates, not only price lists.
  • Add WhatsApp and Telegram chat buttons to your panel so people from those communities can reach you the way they prefer.

3. Partner with agencies and freelancers

Social media managers, small marketing agencies and freelance designers handle many client accounts. One partner can bring the volume of dozens of individual customers.

Approach them with something that makes their work easier:

  • Your API v2. If they already run a panel or a script, they can connect to yours by changing only the URL and key.
  • Custom prices or a per-customer discount for partners who order steadily.
  • A child panel for those who want their own branded panel without running the supply side. They buy from your panel and set their own prices, and you bill them monthly.

Be clear and honest about what the services are and are not, so partners can be honest with their own clients. A partner who gets caught overpromising to a client won't stay a partner for long.

4. Run a referral program

Your existing customers know people like themselves. A referral (affiliate) program gives them a reason to tell those people about you. On PanelHubs you set the commission rate yourself, and you can combine it with a welcome bonus so new sign-ups get a small reward too.

Keep the offer simple enough to explain in one sentence, choose a rate your margin can carry, and watch for abuse such as people referring their own second accounts. We cover the details, including how to pick a rate, in our guide to running an affiliate program.

5. Publish content and look after SEO

Content is the slow method, and also the one that keeps working while you sleep. Each blog post that answers a real question can bring in visitors from search for months.

  • Write posts that answer what customers already ask: how to pay with M-Pesa, how refills work, which service suits a new account.
  • Fill in your panel's SEO settings: a clear page title and a description that says what you offer and who it is for.
  • Write in the language of your market. A French blog may serve customers in Abidjan or Douala better than an English one.
  • Post on your own social accounts too. A panel owner whose own pages are quiet is a hard sell.

Make it easy once they arrive

Attracting visitors is half the work. The other half is not losing them on the first visit. Check these basics:

  • Local payment methods. If your customers use mobile money, offer it. A visitor who can't pay the way they normally do will leave.
  • Prices they understand. Let customers view prices in their own currency instead of converting in their head.
  • Clear service descriptions that say start time, speed and refill policy.
  • Fast first replies. A new customer's first question is a test. Answer it quickly and politely.
  • A promo code for first orders, if your margin allows, to lower the risk of trying you.

Keep watching your reports. If many people sign up but few add funds, the problem is on your panel, not in your marketing.

Getting started

Choose two of the five methods this week. Ask three happy customers for reviews, and join or start one community where you can be genuinely helpful. Small, steady effort beats one big push. If you are ready to put this into practice on your own branded panel, you can start with PanelHubs.
